Developed in collaboration with the Pokémon Company and the developers of the legendary Tekken Fighting Series, Pokkán Tournament brings close fights and incredible control to the previously unseen Pokémon fights. The game is designed to please a wide range of players and even those who have never played a fighting game or action game can easily join and play!

A wide range of Pokémon appears in the game, adding depth to the fights! Use Pikachu's powerful electric shocks and quick moves to overcome your opponent, Beat enemies with unmatched Machampa combat skills, or burn your opponent with Charizard.

You can play Tournament in different modes. In Single Battles mode you can play against AI and you can choose from three levels of difficulty, so it's a challenge for everyone, from beginners to advanced players.

In Local Battles mode, two players compete on one Nintendo Wii U console. In this mode, one player uses the Wii U GamePad driver and the other player uses the Pokkán Tournament driver. Such a configuration allows you to see the action from your own view, with one of the players watching the TV screen and the other watching the Wii U GamePad controller.

In online matches you can compete in Rank Match and Friendly Match. In Friendly Match games you can simply challenge another opponent, including the players you have in your friends list. You can also fight people who have entered the same VS code as you. In Rank Match matches you must earn points based on your match results. Whoever has the most points or more victories is the best!

There is also a mode that lets you plug in two Nintendo Wii U consoles with a Wii LAN adapter and experience one-on-one action in full 60 frames per second on separate TVs. In this mode, each player can use any compatible game controller.
