What is Intel® XMP Certification (Extreme Memory Profiles)?

XMP is a techology designed for both novice users and overclockers, offering the ability to easily increase DDR3 XMP memory performance using preset BIOS profiles. Of course, it remains possible to manually tune the power by setting the frequency, timing, etc., or leaving the memories on the default default parameters.

Information about preset profiles is stored in the SPD chip on the memory module, BIOS, after booting, loads the data of the relevant profile (including information such as timing, FSB, vdimm, vcore), and the computer starts with these overclocked parameters.

XMP is a free added value for each customer, it is up to you whether or not to use XMP on the modules or to let them work on standard uncompacted parameters, so you can use these modules without any limitations on AMD motherboards
